Ingredients:
- 1 cup Guinness stout beer
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)

Directions Chocolate Guinness Cake with Baileys Buttercream :
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan so that our cake can slide out easily later.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the Guinness and butter, stirring until melted and well combined. Once melted, whisk in the cocoa powder and sugar until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually mix this creamy goodness into the chocolate mixture until everything is nicely blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Now, slowly add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the luscious batter into your prepared cake pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Once baked, let the cake cool completely in the pan.
- While the cake is cooling, let’s make the frosting! In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until it’s fluffy. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, Baileys Irish Cream, and vanilla extract until you achieve a smooth and creamy texture.
- Once the cake is cooled, spread the Baileys buttercream over the top. Slice, serve, and enjoy every rich, chocolatey bite! For an extra touch, consider drizzling dark chocolate ganache on top for that finishing flair! 🍰✨
